We Won! - Spark Nova Scotia

Each year a competition runs where people pitch their ideas to a team of judges to win some money to help get their startup off the ground and running.
This year there was six entries who pitched various ideas ranging from financial OCR-related to health oriented apps.
Our project we have been working on for the last two years was "Apollo Festival" (working title). It is a cloud-based app which helps coordinate the logistics for all aspects of festivals and events. Some modules include schedule staff/volunteers and performing acts, managing contracts and generating reports. It offers an API so you can display public data on your marketing website (for example: your event's schedule or artists playing a show).
We ended up getting second place taking home $40,000, which we are more than happy with. I even ended up in the Cape Breton Post.
